Garden Party

(Images via Fashion Gone Rogue)

This has got to be one of my favourite shots of Sasha Pivovarova...EVER. The styling is on a whole other level and I will even go so far as to say that I'm not against the use of a beanie in this shot.

I think most little girls at one time or another have had themselves a fairy garden tea party. To me, this whole shoot (shot be Mario Testino) is fulfilling a grown up girls version of just that. It's enchanting, magical and playful.

A Karl Lagerfeld Cupcake...

...not sure what Karl would think of this but I kinda love it.

I Can't Stop Staring...

(Image via Fashion Gone Rogue)

...at the new Louis Vuitton Fall 2010 campaign. It is beyond beautiful and such a refreshing change from their somewhat hideous Spring 2010 campaign featuring Lara Stone.
There are many things that I love about these pictures, but Christy Turlington has to be the part I love the most. She looks sensational, leaving no doubt that she is truly one of the worlds original supermodels.

Here's a few more things that have got me all excited...the slightly earthy/rusty colour palette, the 1950's dressing room vibe, the - to die- satin bow pumps peeking out of boxes piled on the floor, Natalia Vodianova and Karen Elson look stunning and seem to be a perfect fit to the 50's silhouette, the corsets in contrast to the full skirts..... I mean really, I could go on forever. But for the sake of everyone else I won't and I will simply finish with this: Steven Meisel, amazing.

I Have A New Rock N Roll Crush....

...on these 5 awesome ladies who are in the coolest rock act I've seen in a while, Beaches.  Their show blew me away and reminded me how powerful music is and how it can help to reinvigorate your soul. This Melbourne band were so mesmerising, that dare I say had I watched them when I was 13(not that they are old enough to have been around..but you get my drift), I would have burnt my school books, picked up a guitar and formed a band. They truly rocked. And don't get me started on their style, from the contemporary jewellerly designing drummer to the double denim wearing photographer guitarist, I loved it all.

If all that wasn't enough, it was made all the more excitng by watching them in the same week that Australia got its first female PM!  Go buy their album and see them live when they are next in your town. You wont be sorry.

Is It Summer Yet?

(Images via Fashion Gone Rogue)

This fresh and breezy editorial featuring Doutzen Kroes and shot by Nathaniel Goldberg, has left me pining for the warmth and sunshine of Summer.
Love me the crisp, clean colours and idyllic location. D Y I N G for the leopard print bikini top. Hot.

Designer Love: Anna Campbell

(Gowns By Anna Campbell)

It's with an abundance of excitement that I present to you Love.Me.My's first ever, exclusive interview with a designer! It's with even greater pleasure that this particular designer is one of Melbourne's most divine bridal talents.

Amazing and inspiring is only just the beginning of how I feel about this talented designers beautiful gowns.
I'm quite sure that you're going to fall head over heels, just as much as I have; So without further ado, ladies and gentlemen let me introduce you to, Anna Campbell....

We were swept away by the romance and beauty of your bridal collection
- how would you describe your design aesthetic?

Our bridal range is feminine and romantic, and inspired by vintage pieces. It is designed to stand out from any other bridal range, with its modern and simplistic skirts that drop beautifully from the waistline, creating a slim silhouette. Our pieces are twisted, wrapped, draped, plaited and tied around the figure to create the most feminine shapes possible.
Where did you draw inspiration from for your current collection
?

What we love about designing our bridal range is that it is slowly evolving, it dosen't have a set due date or expirary from our boutique. This means that every time we feel inspired, we create a new piece. This inspiration can come from anywhere. It can start from a stunning fabric sourced, a new technique we are discovering, or an incredible new client we are working with

Tell us a little about your history in fashion, how you started and
your progression in the bridal fashion world?

At 18 I began studying Fashion at RMIT in Melbourne. Unfortunately I didn't enjoy the course, or feel like it would support the direction I wanted to take, so I quit and started my label selling fascinators to local boutiques. That soon grew to dresses, then a wholesale range. We had girls ordering our boutique range pieces in whites and ivories, which is when we opened our boutique and started the bridal range. We are really enjoying the relationships that we build with our clients, and the beautiful pieces and moments we are creating for them.
Our Bridal range allows us to forget about the pricing constraints of our wholesale line, it allows us to create without worrying about costs or time spent. We are creating the pieces we could have only dreamed of within the confines of a wholesale collection.

In your professional opinion what is the most important element
when choosing a bridal gown?

I believe the dress has to reflect the personality of the bride and the feeling of the wedding. Our dresses are perfect for the fashionable bride, who wants a beautiful romantic dress without corsets, hoop skirts, and stiff trains. Alot of our clients get married in beautiful gardens, rustic properties or little known beaches and our pieces suit that theme perfectly. We have clients who have gone and bought the classic bridal dress, often convinced by everyone else but themselves! They then make a last minute decision and consult us about a second dress!

What kind of a moment can a bride look forward to when walking into Anna Campbell?

We're really lucky because our clients always have compleat faith in our designs. Because we are not a dressmaker and we don't just make anything, brides make appointments with us, already in love with our style and the feeling of our collections. From there we work to create the dress best for them. Our clients are fashion forward, and becuase we have a shorter making time for garments, our brides are relaxed and generally just really excited and in love with their dress.

Have You Ever...

(Images Via Fashion Gone Rogue)

...been fascinated by an editorial, so much so that you're left wondering what the inspiration/idea was behind the shoot?
I can't help staring  at these haunting and somewhat manic shots of Sasha Pivovarova by Craig McDean. The styling is beautiful and I love the designer 'police tape' adorning the garments.
It's all a little bit Angelina 'Girl Interrupted ' meets Bridezilla, but OH so pretty.

I particularly love this second image- having just come off a crazy work week, I can't help but imagine how much better I would have felt had I been able to have myself a glamorous little meltdown moment just like this.

These Shoes in My Size Please

(Image via Net-A-Porter)

I've gone a little mad for these bea-uuuu-tiful Charlotte Olympia Dolly Pumps. It's no secret in general that I love a platform, more specifically a hidden one - but after seeing the gold island platform on these I may have just changed my favourite. So fickle is my shoe heart.

I love a shoe that changes your outlook on you - because most definitely I would be a strong, independent, sexy woman when wearing these shoes.

I adore!

P.S. Do go check out the work of Dunston Todd. Pretty cool stuff.

Truth...

A New Style Crush...

...I have been seeing this cool chick popping up on a few blogs lately. I went to her site and WOW, I think I have found a new style guru. I love how she puts her outfits together, the layering is somthing I have always had trouble with and she knocks it right out of the ball park!

Adorable...

...Right down to the shoes!

Loving The Geek

(Images via Love and Life)

Oh how much I adore Tom Ford's super quirky S/S Eyewear campaign. The man is an entity all his own, there's no one out there with a vision like his

Carolyn Murphy looks amazing. I love that I've never seen this sex kitten side of her before and I'm dying over the slightly dorky, but immaculate styling of Nicholas Hoult in comparison (for sure he's wearing Tom Ford).

Have A Fab Week My Lovelies...

These inside a wave photographs are so beautiful.  They make me feel calm, which is kinda strange. I think I should live near a beach.
I hope the week brings you much excitement and happiness. Much Love xx

Love Me The Styling

(Image via Love and Life)

I've been contemplating a change of style lately...I'm feeling a little tired and uninspired by my overall look.
It's when I see photos with styling like the above shot of Anja Rubik, that I realise that this is the exact look I want: plenty of black, chic, but at the same time discreetly sexy...very Parisian. Oh, and the shoes - my goodness, to D.I.E.

I'm pretty sure that this isn't a style too different from my own, just a more sophisticated and amped up version.
Can I pull it off? Only time will tell....

There Are No Words...

....to accurately describe how breathtaking this shot is. The scenery is magical.
It always fascinates me that there are actually location scouts who's job it is to know where all the most beautiful locations in the world are. I mean, if that's not a cool job, I don't know what is.
