Here We Go Again...

...Here's another question for you all, how do you get yourself off a thought loop? You know the one where someone has inadvertently made you think about an old friend you no longer see or times you no longer experience   and now your stuck in this never ending cycle of questions and thoughts?  Or maybe it's just me...

One Of The Best...

This to me is the almost perfect wedding photo representing the craziness of the day and highlights what is really important, love.

These Shoes in My Size Please

Today is going to be a very good day....Not only because it's the Friday of a long weekend, but because Melbourne has decided to grace us with a little bit of 28 degree sunshine! This Summer baby couldn't be happier.
Which is why I couldn't resist posting these uplifting, soul soothing Christian Louboutin Fifi pumps. I mean....the multi colour strass crystals, I'm hypnotised by them. If this is how moth's feel about light, then I get it. I would follow these heels anywhere, whether they were on my feet or not.

I should come with a personal warning: Edie shall not be held responsible for her own actions when in contact with all that glitters.

These Shoes in My Size Please

It's been quite a while since A.) I've posted consistently and B.) I've posted a pair of Louboutin's. My explanation? 'Writers Block.' You may think it's not really an adequate excuse for someone who's writing consists of  dainty paragraphs (and I may agree with your logic), but nonetheless I feel like it makes my writing seem far more important than it really is....tortured artist struggling to write about her shoes. It's tragic.

And what better way to rise from the literary ashes than with these insane Christian Louboutin Margot booties. They're for the girl who likes to think she's tough enough to rock a bootie, but is seven shades too feminine to honestly pull it off.
The reality is, you can take the girly girl out of the wardrobe, but you can't take the girl girl out of the girl.

Yes, I Really Said That

(Images via Style.com)

Yesterday Lucia and I were on the hunt for a white Dolce & Gabbana dress and in the process I stumbled across this divine gown from their Sping 2008 RTW collection. A dress that in my opinion, could only be described as the most beautiful dress in the world.
For those of you who have never been to my desk at work, I have a tear-out from US Vogue of this exact same dress, but in the purple and yellow variation below.
Up until yesterday I had not seen it in red and black, but after doing so I have to say (and I did, much to the shock of Lucia) that to date, this is my most favourite dress, E V E R! It's a big call, I am aware, but seriosuly, I would give away my entire wardrobe if I could just have this dress to put in it.

Please note; shoud any one wish to call me on it at a later date, that the 'wardrobe' I refer to, does not include my shoes.

Please Read This Brilliant Piece Written By And About Edie...

Edie has completed her Bachelor of Gorgeousness (hons) and is currently completing her Doctorate of Shoes (high fashion), focusing mainly on the nurturing and growth of her ‘Shoe-drobe’ and the effects it has on the quality of life. Her past experience as an extraordinarily charismatic and attractive young lady, has lead her to believe that above all else (specifically further education of the serious kind), high fashion is what matters. Looking into the future Edie plans to help those less fortunate by establishing a not for profit organisation that provides amazing clothes to those who cannot otherwise access them.

Can you all see know just how fabulous she is! Seriously have to love someone that can come up with this brilliance under pressure.

Love Me This Bangle...

Thanks Garance Dore for bringing to my attention this magnificent cuff made by Lara Melchior.  Not sure how or where I would wear it, but boy do I want my sweet little hands on it.

Baby's Breath Bouquets...

(via Once Wed)

...I'm starting to like the idea of baby breath bouquets.  They seem really romantic and soft, and go well with a vintage inspired wedding. what do you think?

Read This...

I could not have said it better so I'll let the ladies of Go Fug Yourself do all the talking. I am not even going to post the pictures.

Reflecting...

...so I'm in a bit of a 'funk', and thinking a lot about friends and family and the past. I know I know, not the healthiest mind set to be in, but none-the-less it's the train I'm on.  How do I get off?

Ooooh how much I adore these Charlotte Olympia suede booties. A wildly feminine and chic variation on the classic bootie, I can't help but imagine myself strutting the streets of Paris in these amazing heels. J'adore.

This Will Cheer Me Up...

(Photos by Tec Petaja via Once Wed)
...so we didn't buy a house today and of course in my usual 'half glass empty' view on life, I feel like we will never get one. So I'm posting this to make me feel better. Looking at lovely weddings always helps (sad I know!)

Wedding Love...

(Photos by Jonas Peterson)

...I really like this wedding dress. The moment that clinched it for me is when I read that the bride bought the dress then added the straps, changed the way the front material fell, and made the belt herself. She looks exquisite.

My New Inspiration...

...I am going to get a little more personal in this post. I'm struggling with my weight and all that goes with 'weight loss' and more and more am finding inspiration from Jennifer Hudson. I like that she has lost her weight gradually and without dropping to a size that is not sustainable.

These Shoes in My Size Please

(Images via US Vogue)

Spring has always been my favourite time of year; warmth, fresh fragrant air, flowers blossoming after a long bleak Winter...I guess above all else, it's the feeling of hope and excitement for what is surely to be an amazing Summer.

And then there's the dusting off of your favourite sandals OR more importantly, new additions to your Spring/Summer shoe-drobe.
If I were to have my way, these Nina Ricci sandals fresh off the Paris runway, would my first 2010 S/S addition. Though, the fact they won't literally be available until European S/S 2011 is irrelevant, because a girl can dream.

Vibrant, flirty and the most perfect shade of pink these divine sandals most certainly have the power to lift you from the deepest of Winter blues.

Another One For The Wish List...

...not sure who I caught the bag bug from but here's another one the I wouldn't mind having. This little beauty is Roberto Cavalli's Diva Bag.

I Can't Seem To Get Enough...

...of Anna Dello Russo lately. I have seen her over the years pop up on many fashion blogs but it has only been during this Spring Ready-to-Wear runway season that I have become a tad obsessed.  I'll leave it to Anna to showcase some of the reasons why I am falling a little in love with her...

" I see fashion as a way to play with your personality, to flirt with a part of yourself. It’s like when you go on a date with someone. You’re excited, you dress up, and you look phenomenal. When you get dressed, you should always be dating someone — even if it’s just yourself."

A Bag For A Lady...

...so I have been going on and on to Edie about how I need to buy a handbag that is a 'lady's handbag' and not one of a girl. I suspect she thinks I'm a little crazy! But then I came across these Sofia Coppola and Louis Vuitton creatons and it shows exactly the look I was thinking of.
