These Shoes in My Size Please
Spring has always been my favourite time of year; warmth, fresh fragrant air, flowers blossoming after a long bleak Winter...I guess above all else, it's the feeling of hope and excitement for what is surely to be an amazing Summer.
And then there's the dusting off of your favourite sandals OR more importantly, new additions to your Spring/Summer shoe-drobe.
If I were to have my way, these Nina Ricci sandals fresh off the Paris runway, would my first 2010 S/S addition. Though, the fact they won't literally be available until European S/S 2011 is irrelevant, because a girl can dream.
Vibrant, flirty and the most perfect shade of pink these divine sandals most certainly have the power to lift you from the deepest of Winter blues.

Something To Hide Behind
Masks fascinate me; there's something so sexy and mysterious about them.
Sadly, I have never had the opportunity to wear a mask, but don't worry I'm not concerned. If the situation becomes desperate, I shall simply throw a masquerade soiree in my own honour. It's genius.
This editorial and cover from the October edition of Paris Vogue are stunning, sexy and oh so alluring. Too excited to wait for my copy to arrive!

Oh The Glamour
Sometimes I feel like my heart belongs in Paris.
Granted I've never been there (yet), but whenever I see or read about this fantastical city I can't help but wonder whether maybe it's an undiscovered second home.
Call me crazy, but after devouring the June/July edition of Paris Vogue and by devouring I mean the pictures only, I considered for a serious second taking french lessons just so that one day I could actually read it.
This editorial shot by Aldona Karczmarczyk featuring Iza Olak has three main elements that make me nothing short of happy: Beautiful Parisian scenery, insanely glamorous fashions and shoes only by Christian Louboutin. It really doesn't get much better than that.

A Givenchy Favourite
I am in absolute awe of this Givenchy Fall Haute Couture dress.
Instead of a runway show this year, Riccardo Tisci created 10 pieces to show in an intimate presentation with the intention of accentuating all that is special about Haute Couture, above and beyond 'just another catwalk.'
In my opinion, the detail and beading on this gown is exactly what Haute Couture garments are all about. My favourite part: the ruffles cascading down from mid thigh and fanning out into a pool of liquid gold at the hem - magical.
I'm quite certain that if I ever had the immense pleasure to wear a gown of this calibre, I might just be the happiest girl in the world.

Love Me The Styling
(Image via Love and Life)
I've been contemplating a change of style lately...I'm feeling a little tired and uninspired by my overall look.
It's when I see photos with styling like the above shot of Anja Rubik, that I realise that this is the exact look I want: plenty of black, chic, but at the same time discreetly sexy...very Parisian. Oh, and the shoes - my goodness, to D.I.E.
I'm pretty sure that this isn't a style too different from my own, just a more sophisticated and amped up version.
Can I pull it off? Only time will tell....

Lily Donaldson
I've become a little obsessed with watching Model specials on FTV of late - I find it mesmerising. These are women who are so incredibly beautiful, each in their own unique way that it's almost hypnotic to watch.
It's very important to me that I'm surrounded by beauty, whether it be clothes, friends, family, what I watch/read, my home - I just want life to be beautiful, not necessarily just materialistically, but from a soul aspect as well.
I also really enjoy the snippets of backstage interviews. So often now we see models faces in all the publications and blogs we read, but very rarely do they have a voice. Which is a shame really, because they've got some pretty inspiring things to say.
My model obsession for today: Lily Donaldson. Shot in Paris by Patrick Demarchelier for Vogue China, November 2009.
On a side note, I feel that this shoot embodies all that I love about a Paris and all that I wish I was.

Yes It Is A Real Wedding...

...and not a photo shoot. I don't even care if some people may find this too predictable but I love this wedding. If your going to get married in Paris you need to up the style, and boy oh boy did this couple do that!

The Perfect Outfit
This outfit for me is perfection.
If I had the money to afford a head to toe Chanel look like this, this is exactly what I would wear. Sophisticated, chic, black, glamorous - everything I like my style to be.
And of course when I envisage me in this outfit, I'm strutting around the streets of Paris. Can you imagine it too?
