How Did I Miss This?
When on a hunt to ID the Donna Karan dress featured in Monday's post, I discovered her Spring 2010 collection. How on earth did I miss this?
I have to admit that Donna Karan has never really been on my radar - Wow, how misguided was I? I could literally wear nearly the whole collection.
Rest assured, I've learnt my lesson: Sit up and pay attention to Donna Karen!

Alexander McQueen Cruise 2011
Sarah Burtons first collection as Creative Director at Alexander McQueen is absolutely breathtaking.
It must be bitter sweet really, to be in such a wonderful position and to release such an astounding first collection so soon after the passing of the brands namesake. For who could ever really compare to Alexander McQueen; it's his name, his vision, his life, his everything.
All of the above considered, I feel like Sarah has managed to stay true to the McQueen aesthetic whilst infusing her own ideas and inspiration into it. With such big shoes to fill, she should be nothing less than proud of herself.

A Little Magic...
Since I saw these photos on Once Wed a few days ago I haven't been able to stop thinking about them. They capture something magical, whimsical and mesmerising and something I feel that may be slipping from my own life...

I Think I'm In Love...
...with this Donna Karan dress. I love everything about it; the varying shades of lilac and white, the pearly, iridescent highlights in the fabric, the open neckline paired with the soft and drapey sleeves. It's so wonderfully feminie and romantic.
I have a QLD wedding in August and can't help but think that this is exactly the kind of dress I would want to wear.

Crazy About The Flowers
One of the joys of having the apartment to yourself for the weekend is the total guilt free monopolisation of the TV. For me this means countless of hours watching Fashion TV - Oh how it makes me happy.
So brace yourselves for a couple of posts on collections gone by.
There's no better place to start than how much I adore Dolce & Gabbana's Spring 2009 collection!
The flowers and soft pastel colour palette have my heart. Dreamy, girly, romantic, it's everything that belongs in my life.
D&G tend to have a very sexy aesthetic, but this is literally a breath of fresh air for them. L O V E.

Congratulations Dear Friends....
Impatiently Waiting
I don't know if it gets much more exciting than Abbey Lee Kershaw fronting Chanel's latest Fall 2010 campaign.
Chanel + Abbey Lee + Karl Lagerfeld + New York = too many of my favourite things combined not to be crazy with excitement.
I need to see more....now. Like right now please.

These Shoes in My Size Please
Today, if for no other reason than I've had an awful week and am in need of a little more love than usual, I bring you my second shoe post for the day.
Seriously though, to the rest of you who have had a bad week as well, do these phenomenal Christian Dior boots not make life seem a bazillion times more joyus now?
From Galliano's soon to be released Fall 2010 equestrian inspired collection, these thigh high, suede and leather stiletto boots are beyond. From the lace up backs to the buckles at the heels I adore every single inch of these shoes. If I had it my way, I would have a chocolate and caramel pair in both the thigh high and ankle variety.
And just for a little extra love on our Friday, here's a preview of the Fall 2010 Campaign featuring Karlie Kloss, shot by Steven Meisel.

These Shoes in My Size Please
I heart these adorable patent leather Dolce & Gabbana pumps, they are so, so sweet.
The thing I love most about them, is the contrast of the blush ribbon underneath the black lace.
It's almost like a beautiful piece of lingerie peeking out of a conservative blouse - the beauty is in the juxtaposition.
Like lingerie for the feet, they are just perfect.

A Celebrity To Be Inspired By...
...both Edie and I were floored by these pictures of Drew Barrymore. What made these so amazing was not only seeing how fantastic she looks, but more so knowing the transformation that she has gone through as she gets older. And its for this that I find this picture inspiring. Maybe I too can get fit and healthy and much happier as I get older. Just maybe...
