Colour Of Music...

How wonderful is this photograph by artist George Benson. You would never guess that is is a group of record sleeves.  Hmm maybe I cold convince a certain someone to let me rearrange his record collection...

Close But Not Right...

I love a style challenge and finding Edie's house style is proving to be a lot harder than I imagined.  So while this is not 100% what I image Edie's bedroom to look like, I think the chandelier and mirror are getting close.  Stay tuned for more shots, I'm determined to find the perfect pic.

If Only I Had More Guts...

I would buy this magnificent house and not care what others think.
I would live with an outdoor toilet.
I would save and work hard to bring it back to its glory days.
I would raise a family in it.
I would be the one that people think is crazy but in five years time end up with a spectacular and unique home that I love and spend the rest of my days in.

If only...

2010: The Year Of The Chanel

(Image via The Purse Blog)

Inspired by a glass or two of Veuve this past New Years Eve, I made myself a handful of new years resolutions. Amongst the usual (and predictable) eat healthier, exercise more, be a little kinder to myself etc. I thought it would be fun to make a materialistic resolution...something I suspected I would be more inclined to keep. Thus my arrival at the decision that 2010 would be the year of the Chanel for me.

Having grandly stated at 19 that when I grew up I would only wear Chanel, I figured it was high time that I at least owned a Chanel bag. I mean, if I'm to only wear Chanel, I really must start somewhere.

Whilst a wardrobe filled entirely with Chanel is a little while away, a bag is not. So with our 5 followers as my witness and the lovely Lucia to keep me focused, it's official: 2010 is the year of the Chanel.

Indulging My Inner Child

(Image via Chanel News)

As a little girl growing up, it was all about the Barbie's. Once a Barbie girl, always a Barbie girl.
So you can imagine how much Chanel Barbie not only appeals to the little girl in me, but also to the big girl who loves fashion the way she used to love her Barbie's.
They are literally my child and adult self combined.

Have I mentioned that Christian Louboutin has released a series of Barbie's on Net-A-Porter as well? Complete with their very own pair of mini Louboutin's.....don't even get me started.

It's the Simple Things

Sometimes it's the simple things in life that please you the most.

Today for me, it's Google's Tchaikovsky inspired logo.

On the Home Front

If it's one thing I'm sure of, it's my personal style; Shoes, bags, clothes, accessories. I know what I love and I know what's me. However with years of fashion tunnel vision behind my belt, I've let other facets of style fall by the wayside, more specifically around the home.
Granted, I've really only had the opportunity to decorate my own place this past year, but with the introduction to all things home from Lucia, I've got to pondering - what is my personal home style?

At this point, I'm not too sure, but after looking at the chair above and the wallpaper below, with the cool, pure colours and feminine design, I know I'm getting close.

These Shoes In My Size Please

I adore these Chanel Spring/Summer 2010 shoes from the tips of their tulle and flower adorned toes, right down to their contrasting sculptured heels. These shoes are nothing short of spectacular. Classic, chic and beautifully Chanel.

Lucia's Number One Life Lesson...

...always, and I repeat ALWAYS listen to music that speaks to you with the same joy and passion you used to when you were a teenager.

Just because you grow older it doesn't mean you can't go a little nutty at a concert!.  I saw Wilco last night and watching them lifted my spirits and reminded me of how powerful music can be.  Next time you go to a gig, look back into the crowd and feel the power that a collective of people have when they are swaying and cheering to the same beat. Magical stuff.

I love music. I love Wilco.

The Perfect Outfit

(Image via I Love Wildfox)

This outfit for me is perfection.
If I had the money to afford a head to toe Chanel look like this, this is exactly what I would wear. Sophisticated, chic, black, glamorous - everything I like my style to be.

And of course when I envisage me in this outfit, I'm strutting around the streets of Paris. Can you imagine it too?
