These Shoes In My Size Please

(Images via Absinthrill)

So here we are again- the colder months are upon us (I actually had to wear my DKNY texting gloves this morning!) and I'm lusting after shoes that are perfect for the Spring time. Sometimes I think it's because my heart and soul really belong to somewhere like New York....but that's a whole other blog post.

Musk/metalic pink Chrissie Morris Marisa heels would be the perfect way to beat my premature Winter blues I think.

These Shoes In My Size Please

(Image via Serious Luxury)

Dear Mr Jacobs,

Let me start by saying congratulations! Kitchy animal shoes (or anything kitchy for that matter) are not usually my thing, but these Louis Vuitton Zebra heels having me swooning all over my Friday. Div-ine, but you know that right. I mean, it was your genius that envisaged these glorious heels in the first place.

Obviously I need to own both variations of this shoe- particularly the scarlet and gold.
Summer may be over here in Melbourne, but I promise to love and wear these heels anyway. I am also more than willing to have you fly me over to the seasonally appropriate New York and/or Paris where I will faithfully wear these sandals on their streets as well.

I'm a size 38 and will be awaiting their arrival with baited breath.

As always, me and my shoe-drobe are incredibly grateful for you and the talent you chose to share with the world.

Love E xx

These Shoes In Edie's Size Please...

...and mine too cause we both should have the joy of wearing these iconic Tom Ford for Gucci Bamboo Corset Shoes. They may be old, but still so stylish and current!

These shoes by Aperlai make me want to hang out at a seedy bar, drink scotch and smoke cigarettes...it is clearly too dangerous to own them for fear they may cause me to get a little naughty!

These Shoes In My Size Please...

Shoes by Alexandre Birman via Style.com

...without me knowing it, I'm developing a little fascination for wedges. These Spring 2011 wedges by Alexandre Birman are sensational.  Sure from the front they look like a normal strappy black shoe, but hello lovely purple detail on the heel.  That's enough to make me want you in my waredrobe.

These Shoes In My Size Please

(Teenara Heels by Wittner)

OK so my first shoe post without Edie and whilst these are in no way comparable to her fabulously magnificent shoes, I haven't been able to stop thinking about these Wittner shoes. BUT problemo number 1 is that I have ZERO clothes that go with them. Well actually let me re-state that - I have ZERO clothes that go with them in a cool, edgy, "I'm young and hip" kind of way(channelling this kind of vibe)! Then problemo number 2 is that I can't rock a skinny leg pant..ahhh the dilemmas of loving a shoe that just doesn't fit with your body!

These Shoes In My Size Please

(Images via Christian Louboutin)

Today marks the beginning of my birthday weekend. Yes, that's right, I don't just get a brithDAY, I get a whole weekend!
So, because it's my birthday and I'll do what I want to, I chose these STUNNING Christian Louboutin Maralena slingbacks for no real reason except that:
  1. I  L O V E Christian Louboutin (obviously)
  2. Multicolour Strass crystals make me endlessly happy (and I mean deleriously so)
  3. These would be my party shoes of choice if someone would just buy them for me! (Size 38 1/2 if you were  wondering)
And whilst I'm shamelessly entertaining my love of all that glitters - I might just have myself a pair of these Pigalili pumps as well please.

These Shoes in My Size Please

Cropped leather cigarette pants, crisp white mens tuxedo shirt, hair in tussled waves (think Blake Lively) and these Christian Louboutin Pigalle spike pumps....
Just me trying on rockstar chic, that's all I'm saying.

These Shoes in My Size Please

Hands up if you find these strappy Pierre Hardy sandals irresistibly sexy!

I had picked these shoes out for my post at the start of the week, so it's ironic really that Lucia and I had a very serious discussion about ankle straps at lunch today that went something like this:

She loves them, I love them, but they're a style that must be handled with care. Are they a privilege reserved for those with mile long, slender legs? Are there some legs where ankle straps may not be the most flattering shoe moment, but to some extent can still get away with it? OR is it a simple fact of life that no matter what shape or length your legs are, an ankle strap will never be your most flattering option? Perhaps it's just the nature of the beast.

Having pondered this at great length without really arriving at a firm conclusion I will say this, legs like Giselle or legs all my own, NOTHING- not even the ankle strap- would stop me from rocking these show stopping sandals.
I mean really, with heels like these on, no one is going to be looking at your legs anyway.

These Shoes in My Size Please

Dear Christian Louboutin Praia Espadrilles,

I am writing to you with my sincere apologies. You see, the truth is, I doubted your shoe family's relevance and never gave you a chance.
I thought that perhaps I would never find a pair of espadrilles that I actually liked and then you came along...You have changed everything,I believe in you now.
If you can find it in your heart to forgive me, I am a size 38 1/2 - my shoedrobe and I will be waiting for you patiently, with open hearts.

Much Love,

Edie x

These Shoes in My Size Please

Today is going to be a very good day....Not only because it's the Friday of a long weekend, but because Melbourne has decided to grace us with a little bit of 28 degree sunshine! This Summer baby couldn't be happier.
Which is why I couldn't resist posting these uplifting, soul soothing Christian Louboutin Fifi pumps. I mean....the multi colour strass crystals, I'm hypnotised by them. If this is how moth's feel about light, then I get it. I would follow these heels anywhere, whether they were on my feet or not.

I should come with a personal warning: Edie shall not be held responsible for her own actions when in contact with all that glitters.

These Shoes in My Size Please

It's been quite a while since A.) I've posted consistently and B.) I've posted a pair of Louboutin's. My explanation? 'Writers Block.' You may think it's not really an adequate excuse for someone who's writing consists of  dainty paragraphs (and I may agree with your logic), but nonetheless I feel like it makes my writing seem far more important than it really is....tortured artist struggling to write about her shoes. It's tragic.

And what better way to rise from the literary ashes than with these insane Christian Louboutin Margot booties. They're for the girl who likes to think she's tough enough to rock a bootie, but is seven shades too feminine to honestly pull it off.
The reality is, you can take the girly girl out of the wardrobe, but you can't take the girl girl out of the girl.

Ooooh how much I adore these Charlotte Olympia suede booties. A wildly feminine and chic variation on the classic bootie, I can't help but imagine myself strutting the streets of Paris in these amazing heels. J'adore.

These Shoes in My Size Please

(Images via US Vogue)

Spring has always been my favourite time of year; warmth, fresh fragrant air, flowers blossoming after a long bleak Winter...I guess above all else, it's the feeling of hope and excitement for what is surely to be an amazing Summer.

And then there's the dusting off of your favourite sandals OR more importantly, new additions to your Spring/Summer shoe-drobe.
If I were to have my way, these Nina Ricci sandals fresh off the Paris runway, would my first 2010 S/S addition. Though, the fact they won't literally be available until European S/S 2011 is irrelevant, because a girl can dream.

Vibrant, flirty and the most perfect shade of pink these divine sandals most certainly have the power to lift you from the deepest of Winter blues.

These Shoes in My Size Please

It's a little early to be saying it I know, but these might possibly be the perfect casual Summer sandal.
There's something so very fresh and relaxed about the gold hardware and camel leather. A sandal that will go with just about any outfit, but skip over the blah-ness of a neutral shoe, is rare and most certainly a precious addition to any shoe wardrobe.

Can you not imagine you and your girlfriends swanning around St. Barts on a balmy evening, cocktail in hand, wearing these fresh off the Milan runway Pucci sandals and sublime Pucci dress....

These Shoes In My Size Please...

These posts are usually Edie's domain but I just had to shoe you these Louis Vuitton wedges. Love them!

These Shoes in My Size Please

I love shoes, we know that. I've professed my love for lots of glamorous shoes, we know that as well; but these hot pink Louboutin's.... they're different. I feel like I was born to wear these shoes...that if Christian Louboutin knew me, he would call them the 'Edie.'

A love like this is bittersweet. I'm starstruck just looking at them and that makes me happy, but then I realise it's high unlikely that I will ever own them....poor orphan Edie.

These Shoes in My Size Please

(Image via Net-A-Porter)

I know that by all accounts it might appear as if I'm one of those girls who wears high heels all the time, but truth be told, I'm not. Don't get me wrong, I wear them every day to work and religiously when I go out at night. But I guess at the very bottom of my glamour gene there's a little bit of practical in me, because I certainly do love me an amazing pair of flats.

Case in point, these extremely adorable Lanvin ballerina flats. They're chic and girly - perfect for someone who wants the comfort of casual, but not the daggy of runners.
Oh, and it goes without saying that the Swarovski crystal encrusted bow is my favourite part....so it appears I'm not only practical, but predictable too.
