9 Days To Go...

...until we got the keys to our new house!! Super excited and can't wait to see how our furniture will fit into the space.  Sure our house looks nothing like the one in the photos above, except maybe for blue curtains in the bedroom to match the hideous blue carpet, but one has to have a dream for the future.

I Want A House, I Want A House...

...and I want one now. Not when its 'meant to happen', or when the 'time is right'. The time is right right now! Ok mini rant is over now.

Sweet Is The Only Word...

...to describe this home in Melbourne. I'm loving the use colours and patterns. I don't think I would be brave enough to pull this off.

For The Third Time...

Backyard Graffiti...

...I can totally see myself doing something like this is my new backyard, in my new house, which I am sure one day I will get to purchase.

Wish Us Luck..

...off to another auction today. Fingers crossed this is the one. But just in case it's not, I hope no one utters theses words, 'the right one will come along when its the right time' or I'm likely to regurgitate!

I Love Clever Ideas...

(via Dwell)
...when I saw this kitchen/bar/drinks trolley made to fit under the stairs and be wheeled out whenever needed, I was so impressed by the idea.  This is good design at its best.

Peaking Through The Fence...

(By Stephen Oxenbury via Dwell)
I have walked pasted this house many, many times and on every single one of them, I have stopped in front for a good 5 minutes, trying to take a peek inside. So imagine how excited I was to see these shots on Dwell.  Then to top it off I learn the house belongs to the designer Lisa Gorman and her husband. Sigh, life envy has well and truly kicked in.

House Porn...

...so I am starting to realise that my love for looking at houses could be starting to reach all time dangerous levels.  Maybe some researcher out there needs to do a study on people like me and what it does to the brain. But until there is a 12 step program for me, I'll drool over amazing places like this one seen on Re-Nest.

It May Be Old...

I am a sucker for this type of window. Sure the house it belongs to is probably cold and damp and old, and yet that makes me love it even more...

Close But Not Right...

I love a style challenge and finding Edie's house style is proving to be a lot harder than I imagined.  So while this is not 100% what I image Edie's bedroom to look like, I think the chandelier and mirror are getting close.  Stay tuned for more shots, I'm determined to find the perfect pic.

If Only I Had More Guts...

I would buy this magnificent house and not care what others think.
I would live with an outdoor toilet.
I would save and work hard to bring it back to its glory days.
I would raise a family in it.
I would be the one that people think is crazy but in five years time end up with a spectacular and unique home that I love and spend the rest of my days in.

If only...

On the Home Front

(Images via This Is Glamorous)

If it's one thing I'm sure of, it's my personal style; Shoes, bags, clothes, accessories. I know what I love and I know what's me. However with years of fashion tunnel vision behind my belt, I've let other facets of style fall by the wayside, more specifically around the home.
Granted, I've really only had the opportunity to decorate my own place this past year, but with the introduction to all things home from Lucia, I've got to pondering - what is my personal home style?

At this point, I'm not too sure, but after looking at the chair above and the wallpaper below, with the cool, pure colours and feminine design, I know I'm getting close.

The Dream...

...One day I will go out to my veggie garden, pick some fresh herbs and veggies, and cook a simple, healthy and yummy meal for my family.   Oh and I would look fabulously chic as well.
