It's Finally Happened...Be Prepared For A Rant...

(via Once Wed)

...I am getting tired of wedding shoe shots! It saddens me to say this. I have been looking at wedding blogs and magazines long before I actually got married. A few years ago I felt there was a change in wedding photography with more photographers taking a chance and shooting more than just the standard 'wedding' shots. There seemed to be a change happening that made wedding photography interesting. A lot of this had to do with photographers taking quirkier shots of the smaller details, like the bride and grooms' shoes. I fell in love with these shots and had a few done for my own wedding. I love how they turned out.  But then I started noticing these shots everywhere, and they have become just as common as the more traditional photos. This saddens me.

Happy Birthday Dad, You Rock!

Thanks for being awesome.

These Shoes in My Size Please

(Image via Barneys New York)

In light of my newly refreshed love for all that is Sex and the City, I felt it disloyal to feature any other shoe than Manolo Blahnik in this weeks shoe post.
Whilst it's common knowledge that Manolo was the king of heels long before SATC came along, there's no denying that the two often go hand in hand together.

These sling back, bow Manolo's are classic and so very sweet. I love how dainty and feminine they look. These shoes are most definitely made for strutting the streets of NYC - well, in my eyes anyway.

Have A Fab Week My Lovelies...

If your in Melbourne this week try to pop over to Fed Square and check out the Solar Equation installation. And people wonder why I love Melbourne so much! Come on, how awesome is it!
Much Love xx

Sex and the City

Yesterday I had the absolute pleasure of watching the new Sex and the City movie; something I had been looking forward to all week.
Now I know that many reviewers have panned it and I feel it needs to be said that a majority of these reviewers were male. I mean, really? Why would you send a male to go and review a movie like SATC.

I had no expectations going in except that the fashion would be out of this world. The creators have never disguised the movie as something that will stir up great thought. It is quite simply a movie for the millions of fans still pining to see what's happening to Carrie, Miranda, Samantha and Charlotte.
Quite simply it's pure indulgence and a whole lot of escapism at it's best. For who doesn't want to live in a  world where on holiday and faced with an impromptu dinner with an old love, you remember that you've got that breathtaking Emilio Pucci gown in your suitcase that you packed 'just in case'.

I watch a movie to forget what's going on in my life, to open my eyes to a world that may or may not ever be a reality for me. So when a movie like SATC makes me smile for two and a half hours, then that to me, is a success.

On a side note, desperately loving these sling back Louboutins - Who doesn't love a little sparkle in their lives.

A Little Slice of Perfect...

(via Lovely)

Wow!

(via Kiss the groom)

Seriously what an amazing photo. LOVE me this hair. Wow!

I Want To Be 16 Again...

...only so I can spend hours practicing and playing with my hair. It is VERY frustrating to be of a certain age and STILL not know how to blow dry one's hair. I think I have about 3 hair serum's in my cupboard and not a single texturing spray, although if I did have one I wouldn't even know what to do with it!

Editorial Love

(Image via Fashion Gone Rogue)

Love, love, love me the styling in this shoot for Vogue Italia; shot by Solve Sundsbo and featuring Jessica Stam.

The sharp, edgy clothing and somewhat dark and menacing vibe, contrast to stunning affect with the prettiness of the floral backdrop and ethereal beauty of Jessica Stam.
It's more than a little bit like a dark and twisty fairytale.

I'm Struggling...

...with knowing that I need to change a very important part of my life but am somehow still stuck in this rut. Why is changing a habit and making new ones so hard.

Simply Striking

It's now apparent that I stand alone on this one, but I  L O V E  Leigh Lezark's look!
She's knocked it out of the ball park for the cover of Vogue Turkey and has cemented her place in my top 5 fashion crushes.

Wedding Love...

..How cool is this wedding? There aren't a lot of pictures up on Sammy Rose, but even with these snippets you can tell this is one cool couple.

Do You Think...

....that if I was writing my blog posts on this Swarovski encrusted MacBook, that the words and inspiration would flow in abundance?
