Masks fascinate me; there's something so sexy and mysterious about them. 

Sadly, I have never had the opportunity to wear a mask, but don't worry I'm not concerned. If the situation becomes desperate, I shall simply throw a masquerade soiree in my own honour. It's genius.

It's a little early to be saying it I know, but these might possibly be the perfect casual Summer sandal.

There's something so very fresh and relaxed about the gold hardware and camel leather. A sandal that will go with just about any outfit, but skip over the blah-ness of a neutral shoe, is rare and most certainly a precious addition to any shoe wardrobe.

Can you not imagine you and your girlfriends swanning around St. Barts on a balmy evening, cocktail in hand, wearing these fresh off the Milan runway Pucci sandals and sublime Pucci dress....

You cannot begin to understand how excited and surprised I am to see this! Ooooh I love love loves it.

For the longest while now Nicole Richie has been my celebrity style crush, especially during what I like to call the 'Zoe era'. I don't think there was one outfit during that time that I wouldn't have worn myself- it was literally an era of amazingness. However, lately-- and I feel disloyal saying this-- I've begun to lose interest. Whilst I totally respect the boho aesthetic and sometimes find myself wishing I could pull it off, in reality nothing excites me more than high glamour. Nothing.

This divine Marchesa dress (hello tulle!) is a fabulous return to the Nicole style I adored so much. Sigh....

...so I may have panicked yesterday when I posted about my frustrations for the party today. It turned out to be a wonderful day.  The two pictures above were a huge inspiration as I made paper garlands and had a photo booth up which was so much fun to do.  I seriously now want to do it again and again.

Frustrated With Myself...

...I had the honour and opportunity of decorating a pre-wedding lunch party and I'm so frustrated with myself. I had a clear vision of how I wanted to decorate it, but somehow convinced myself that I couldn't do it. Now that the day is close I am already faced with a feeling of 'I should have...'.  The sad part for me is that I won't get a chance to ever do this again.

I am loving this kitchen table/bench made from a 14-foot-long walnut slab which came from a tree that fell into a Californian street. It really does help to ground the space and make it feel like an inviting and warm home.

Some Bad A** Shoes...

Thank you Sea of Shoes for bringing to my attention these magnificent Jill Sander shoes.  I'm not usually into shoes with this kind of a heel but heavens these have stolen my heart. They make me want to wear leather, go to a dirty rock n roll show and smoke cigarettes all night with a dirty martini in my hand.
